Both bands are awesome! but everyone have their own style, both released album this year, and have been touring toghether. Becouse that people start discussing which one is the best

Dream Theater all the way, thought I have to admit I haven't heard much Symphony X, I should check them out.

SYMPHONY X is wining thi poll by far!!!
I prefere symphonyX is more metal. Russell Allan's voice is way more powerful than James Labrie's too.

anyway I like Dream too.

yeah Russell voice is very powerfull! and the songs too! ill try to upload some of my videos of the concert here this year! it was awesome and i want them back soon! of course i love Dream too :)

I'm not really a progressive fan, but I prefer Dream Theater.
